4/15/25

Ethan’s ultrasound came back fairly normal so we are onto the final diagnostic step of a kidney biopsy. Our only request to the doctor last week was to avoid scheduling between 4/18 -26th. As one would guess, they scheduled it for April 22nd. Eye roll.

Ethan has already told this doctor he would like to have e me there and we let this doctor know when I would be out of town. I have already put in the request to have it changed. When it came across I. MyChart, it caused Ethan to panic. I assured him I would be there.

We got it straightened out and his biopsy is on the 29 th. They said to plan on being there for at least 8 hours. Ugh! Ethan is going to hate that.

We received a list of instructions to prepare for the procedure. I noticed that there was no mention of withholding Ethan’s blood thinner. I want to make sure he will be able to clot appropriately, so I put in a request for a plan for that.

Thankfully I know enough to think of that. I worry about the people that don’t.

I am getting hammered at work this week. I work a few hours late to make sure all my ducks are in a row. I have a  difficult situation I am navigating through. I am hopeful of a positive outcome. If anything I am learning as I navigate through it.

Avery called tonight from the parking lot of the Verizon store. She and I, a few weeks back, went in to order her new phone. We made sure to add her on as an administrator to the account, giving her access to being able to do things without us present at the store with her.

I verified, in person with her that things were set up so she could seamlessly go in and pick up her phone without any issues.

We were told it was all set. And of course it WASN’T all set. She went in to pick up her phone and they refused to sell it to her. She was NOT marked as an administrator and they turned her away. She asked to speak to the guy we had dealt with. Apparently he was “no longer with the company”. Avery witnessed the employee she was working with, voice his frustration with the guy who was fired, as he looked through the purchase order and discovering the fired guy did it all wrong.

It wasted her time. She was frustrated. Paul tried to add her through the app, but the app was not cooperating. Paul had to then call Verizon and get her added as an administrator so she can go back in later this week and try again. Why do things have to be so hard sometimes.

Just a few more days 😊
