10/6/25

I love that I am still getting comments about what part of the body is washed first in the shower. Everyone’s answers are so different.

Today’s weather was a gift. The breeze, the smell, the temperature. I sat in my front yard outside today for about an hour. The traffic can get loud when I am on the phone, so I moved to my back porch.

After work I tried to exercise. I guess I did exercise but it was “lazy” (just the way I like it). I put ankle weights on and took the dogs for a walk in the field. I did some of my PT exercises and then kept the ankle weights on for about two hours. That counts right? I was just doing normal Monday night things. Switching laundry, I made a few trips out to the camper.

Moe did a little sunbathing this morning. The dogs got plenty of outside time. They spent it by sniffing things, peeing on stuff and enjoying the sunshine. Almost the same way I enjoyed it minus the peeing on stuff part.

My allergies seem to be in overdrive. I have been taking allergy meds and a decongestant, but it is only helping minimally. I sneeze unusually loud. My family hates it. It just feels so much better with a loud sneeze, like I am expelling the demons out.

As I did some sunbathing I heard a Red Bellied Woodpecker. This one has been hanging around for the past few days. I have heard the cry each day for almost a week. I tried to spot it in the tree. I am a terrible bird watcher….I briefly looked, didn’t see it, pouted about it for a minute and then moved on.

Ethan had a little energy when he came home to fiddle in the garage. After about an hour he needed to rest. He is very regimented about his bed time and wake up routine. He spent some time in his room doing computer things.

Tomorrow night I am filling in at the vet office. This is my last week for a while. I hope they ask me back, I have enjoyed just a few hours here and there.

Avery gave me a brochure from her most recent displaying of her work at Brockport. She, along with others that participated in a summer research project.

I left the brochure open on the kitchen counter for Paul to see. Paul didn’t really look at the picture of his own daughter, he briefly looked at it and said, “this is right up Avery’s alley” it took him a minute to recognize it was actually her! Ha!

My little scientist. Doing science things. Great job Avery!

  1. You must get that sneeze from your dad. We used to hear him all the way next door even when he sneezed inside. I also like a good, loud (and I try to make it obnoxious!) sneeze. Much like my belches
