We talk for our dogs sometimes. We have a special voice we use for each dog. We make them say funny things and then laugh.
This morning Paul was in the kitchen by himself and had a whole conversation outloud between he and Jiminy. He was cracking himself up. It was cracking me up.
After work I tried to check a few things off my list. I was mostly successful. I don’t care for how early it gets dark now….but that is life and we have to accept it for now.
Tomorrow is voting day. Paul gets the entire day off. We all plan to vote after work tomorrow. Family date night at the polls!!!!! Exciting!
I took all 4 dogs for a lengthy off leash run in the field. We were around two times. Even Ferguson happily kept up, trotting along, wagging his tail. I think he can see Jiminy. His sight is not good. But he stuck close to Jiminy. I was walking at quite a brisk pace. I was impressed the littles kept up.
I am diving into the world of learning about cognitive decline as we are reallocating efforts to support our in-laws. Today I will be making lots of phone calls to try to get an appointment for a cognitive function test to initiate some sort of treatment.
Yesterday I was a bit let down with the doctor’s office and their lack of effort to help. They gave one name to call. When Paul called, there was a 10 month wait. He called for a second name and they begrudgingly shared one, but it was “out of network” and they “prefer” to stay in network.
I admit I am a bit of an idiot when it comes to understanding these insurance, and doctor’s office nuances. It is mostly because I find it SO overwhelming that my brain just doesn’t want to soak up the information.
I am so proud of my sister in law. She shows up, she keeps us in the loop, she juggles so much.
I am not ready to be an adult yet. Ha ha!
