We started our day off with a 25 minute walk to the harbor to catch a hop on, hop off boat. We talked to the guy at the ticket booth and got a boat/bus combo for 2 days for about $10.00 more. We headed to Gamla Stan. Gamla Stan is the “old town” of Stockholm. The town dates back to the 13 th century. Some of the alley ways and cobblestone roads from medieval times. On the way, it was misty rain. We stopped and admired a few gardens and fountains. We were on the edge of Gamla Stan and got to watch the switching of the guards. From across the street. We made sure not to break an ankle on this uneven cobblestone road. We also admired the sights around Gamla Stan. There were a few guards posted. The buildings were so old. The glass was mostly original as it was quite warped and difficult to see out of. We did some shopping and ate at a cute little grille. Swedish meatballs, mashed potato’s and some dessert.
