We did more learning today and only scratched the surface on the software we are using. I think it will be more efficient.
My energy was draining and I looked forward to flying home so I wouldn’t have to talk to anyone. My social battery needed a recharge.
A coworker and I had lunch together and discussed things happening in our lives. We have worked together for 2 years and have been to events with one another. We sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine and the warm weather.
Our corporation is a merge of two companies. One of the companies only allowed veterinarians to take any sort of paid maternity leave. All the other women within the organization didn’t qualify. Grrrrr! Luckily, moving forward, this will change starting the first of the year. I consider it a huge win for all the women that want to utilize that benefit!
The flight to Chicago was only half full, so I got a row to myself! It was wonderful!
The flight to Rochester was full to the brim! I sat in a middle seat. I was glad I had the middle seat for the shorter flight and the whole row for the longer flight.
There was a situation with the lady that sat next to me. She and her husband were unable to sit together on their previous flight and they were unable to sit together in this flight. The lady started to downward spiral a little.
A lady from the back offered to switch seats with her and luckily the flight attendants defused the situation. The lady mumbled something nasty under her breath and switched seats. The new lady sat down and I thanked her for doing that, because the miserable lady DIDN’T!
I know every story has two sides. I don’t know the kind of day the miserable lady had. But I thought a simple thank you could have gone a long way.
I arrived home and the dogs were full of it. Running sideways on the walls practically. How come Paul doesn’t greet me with the same energy?!?!? Ha!
I am looking forward to a quiet house tomorrow. It’s so funny how as I have aged, it is harder to “people” around the clock a few days in a row.
Glad you made it home safely. Always great to sleep in our own beds~
