Life is funny how it can send you in different directions throughout the day.
I conducted my first interview at 7:00 am. I had coffee and felt I was on my game as was the person I was speaking with. I enjoyed the conversation.
Next up, meeting with the nephrologist for Ethan. Ethan had a 10 minute break and planned to hop on a video call at 9:00. They usually take about 10 minutes so we figured it would be good timing.
The doctor is technically challenged. She was 10 minutes late joining the meeting. Once she joined, she couldn’t hear us, had to grab someone to help her trouble shoot, left the video and had to rejoin once she logged into a different computer. 9:15 she finally joined. By that point, Ethan was pissed and gave short answers. We wrapped that meeting up just short of 9:30.
She was pleased that his kidney values have remained steady and he seems to be in a holding pattern. Yay!
At 9:30, I jumped on my next meeting presenting our software to a new Hospital manager. I finished that meeting but it took a full 30 minutes.
Next up…….reporting. Looking up numbers and filling out a spreadsheet for end of month reporting. I should have completed on Monday….bit I didn’t. Deadlines are just loose suggestions right?
I moved my office outside and brought all the dogs out to sniff around the yard and pee on things. They made sure the perimeter was secure at all times. It was such a beautiful day.
I realized that Moe recognizes Amazon and UPS trucks specifically. He gives them the hairy eyeball when they drive by. He pays no attention to the other cars. They know more than we give them credit for.
I had a little grasshopper hang out on my computer for a bit. He had some crazy eyes!
I finished things up with work and ran the dogs in the field. They had been up the majority of the day already. They were pooped!
After dinner, Moe put himself to bed. It was quite early for him. Way too much fresh air!
Sarah came over and we sat outside in the dark enjoying the soft breeze and mild temperature. We chatted about our week and got all caught up in each other’s business.
It felt like it was 10:00 at night….nope…7:41 pm. This getting dark early business is not my favorite.
Paul loaded up the wood box on our porch for when the temperature turns. I will be stocked for a bit with firewood. 🪵
