Day #3 with Mossimo. I started the day with taking the dogs out. It was raining. Penny and Ferguson had a giddy up in their step. Ferguson is stealthy. He tip toes like a dancing fairy in between the raindrops into my garden does his poops and pees lightening quick.

Penny just pees and calls it a day. She earns crate time or else she will decide our house is her toilet. We try again later on these days with her.

Jiminy uses his potty pad. He was trained on a potty pad and uses it well. I didn’t decide this, he came programmed like this. I hate it, but it works. Especially since he is not built for cold weather or rain….or crates.

Mossimo did well today. He met some new people, was less timid, wasn’t lunging to aggressively attack, minimal growling and no barking. We will keep diligently setting the ground rules and reinforcing positive behavior.

The weather was not pleasant. I spent a good portion of the day cleaning our house. Deep cleaning! There was rug shampooing, couch cushion washing, bathroom cleaning, vacuuming, scrubbing, dishes, laundry and more. Avery helped a significant amount. Ethan was using his brawn to carry things for me.

We finally packed the car to the ceiling and left. All 4 dogs, the rabbit and Avery. Paul left the day before. He was ready to help us unload when we arrived.

Moe met some new people and did quite well. He met his two newest dog friends. He really liked them and they accepted him as well. It is so helpful that he is calm and collected when meeting new friends.

We also let Moe roam the camper without holding his leash. He didn’t try to pee on anything which is improvement. All of our dogs are getting along well. Occasionally Ferguson has a slip up, but once corrected, he does feel sorry for his behavior.

Moe went on a lengthy walk with his new friends and everyone did well (except Ferguson which is normal).

We spent the evening at our neighbors, playing bumper pool and chatting the night away. It helps that we had alcoholic beverages.

Avery and Paul played several games of bumper pool. Paul won each game but Avery was great competition. I imagine that this won’t be the end of their matches against one another this week.

I am hoping to give all the dogs a lake bath tomorrow. We are going to hopefully trim nails and have a spa day.

Tomorrow will be the true test to see if we have a new water dog or not. Fingers crossed!
