6/4/24

Today was fairly leisurely as I had steady work but was not overwhelmed. Most of the rest of my couch cushion covers arrived, exciting! That is where the excitement is these days. I placed them on and so far, they look fairly decent considering. I am hoping this helps save me some time in the future.

I took the dogs for a walk Twice around the loop of the field. I am enjoying the sweet smell from the wildflowers that dances in the air as I walk. It is so fragrant and pleasant.

Paul had a frustrating day. Then he got home. He ordered another part for his broken jet ski. He had it overnighted and it did show up, however, it has the wrong part. There was a lot of unpleasant words coming out of his mouth about it.

I did what any good wife would and suggested we got to Abbott’s and we both have ice cream to make HIM feel better. I would eat the ice cream as well in hopes that could help him in some way. Not a selfish suggestion, only purely to help him. Did I mention he is lactose intolerant?

So off to abbott’s we went. I really do love their frozen Custard. My opinion is that frozen custard is better than ice cream. It contains less air and is creamier than ice cream. According to Google, it also is served at a slightly higher temperature than ice cream. Because of that slight change it doesn’t freeze your taste buds and you can enjoy the taste longer. Yes please!

We popped in to see Avery. She was right around the corner. She was making roasted potatoes and the town house smelled great.

Paul also had us stop at Lowe’s for some lumbar. He has a project he is working on. They didn’t have what they needed and we had to drive to Home Depot. More choice words came out of his mouth. I was out of ideas as to how to help. We already had Abbott’s. More Abbott’s?

I felt I was being helpful and pointing out all the things that went right today. Including, he got to have Abbott’s AND he had a wonderful date. I think I won some sort of  good wife award tonight. Ha!

We didn’t get home until after 9:00 pm. Ooofffff! Time for bed!
