I was doing my physical therapy pre exercise stretch. OUCH! My leg was so tight. It was painful to stretch. Not the painful that I thought I was doing damage, but the kind of pain that reiterated why I need this.
Penny was trying to help. She heard my unattractive grunting and groaning. She heard me Lamaze breathing through the stretch and comforted me by sitting on my chest and putting her but in my face. Thanks dog! I couldn’t even be that mad. She was so excited last night that I put her fleece PJ’s on her and she thinks she is hot stuff! So there she sat, in her pajamas, with her butt in my face.
My physical therapist assured me that I would not cause any damage if I do my stretches and exercises the way she showed me. It would be easier not to do them and complain I wasn’t getting better, but I don’t really like that option.
I don’t want to become a prisoner in my body. I am fighting back. I am doing the stupid stretches that are painful and you know what? They give me relief afterward. Yay!
The hard part will be not to become lazy.
This evening my friend Heather came and we ventured out to a dinner with Mama Medium, the TLC Psychic. I have seen her before and she is amazing.
She is funny and knows when to insert the right amount of humor when needed. As she gave out readings, the things she was sharing were phenomenal.
One mother recently lost her teenage daughter. It was a known accident within our community. While the daughter was not the first person that showed up for this person, the daughter made an appearance to let her mom know that she was hanging with grandma and they were watching over the family.
The way it starts is that Jennie will say something like “I am seeing the color yellow, the number 18 and a camera.” Slowly she puts the pieces together to figure out who this spirit belongs to. Then the story unravels from there.
Heather and I were amazed and also horrified at the public’s lack of respect and self awareness. The cell phones going off were bountiful. Seriously?
Here is a message from your dead grandma…beep…beep…beep….beep… with no sense of urgency the alarming phone continues to interrupt. I can see it happening once or twice….bit after the 6 th or 7 th time I was super annoyed by it. No one seems to want to silence their phone. Why?
Towards the end, a few people got into a verbal altercation while Jennie was doing a reading for a teenage girl that recently lost her grandma. It resulted in swearing and yelling, with the ultimate insult of being “shut up you bleach blond….xxxxx” the xxx’s were the see you next Tuesday word. Really?
Heather and I discussed that the country club didn’t seem like the proper venue for a cat fight. Heather and I quickly exited before things spiraled out of control.
We had a stream of continuous laughter discussing the different characters that attended. The general public never ceases to amaze me. (Usually not in a good way.)
Jiminy is home. I saw him for 20 minutes and then he was hanging out with Ethan for the rest of the evening. What a spoiled little pup.
I didn't even know about this event! Cool- love mediums especially when they are legit. Sometimes cell phones go off because that is the only way they can communicate.
ReplyDeleteThey are so cool! Mama Medium is amazing to watch. I follow her on Facebook so I know when she is in town (she lives in Texas now I think). These weren’t cell phones going off because of spiritual communication. These were people that failed to turn off their ringer. One lady said it was her alarm to take her medication. Theresa Caputo is coming soon.
DeletePam have you ever been to Rolling Hill’s Asylum? I am a believer and love haunted stuff.
