Paul was moving slow today. He has been in Old Forge from Tuesday to Saturday and rode over 500 miles, pair that with a cold and he is sore and stuffy. I made him take a handful of pills this morning to help him feel better. For now he is sleeping on the couch. I don’t want his funk.
My back was slightly better today. I did some icing, stretching and strengthening to see if it would help. I was careful not to bend or lift (except when I trimmed all 16 paws worth of toenails.) Trimming nails isn’t too hard. I flip the littles over on their back and dremel the nails after clipping so they aren’t sharp. Moe tried to fight today and he lost that battle. He didn’t mind losing though, there were treats involved.
I was able to get some documents together for taxes and submit bills to be reimbursed by the 529 plan. Super boring and adult-ish things.
I did some prep work for my meetings tomorrow, so I can appear to have my “stuff” together.
Ethan has a nasty cough but he is feeling less tired. He has a canker sore at the back of his throat. He is trying to gurgle with salt water but he can’t reach the affected area.
His big 22nd birthday is coming up on Tuesday. He doesn’t want to do anything for his birthday. I offered to take him out to dinner and he opted for take-out instead, but on Friday, not Tuesday. Easy enough!
We got a celebrity visit from Avery Reese-College Super Star! She shared that this past week of school was busy but went well. She is the president of TWO clubs. One is the Physic’s club and the other is the STEM Friends Club.
She was sharing how she may want to merge the two clubs to promote diversity and a sense of community amongst all the sciences.
She likes her classes so far. She stopped home to get a stamp, and envelope to mail a check for a deposit on an apartment for the fall.
After she chatted for a bit, she was on her way to get a jump start to her upcoming busy week.
Ethan has an MRI this week to see if he still has a brain. Ha! They are measuring the mass on his pituitary adenoma to make sure it hasn’t grown. That should be a fairly easy appointment except he will have to get an IV for contrast. Boo!
I laid low this weekend and recharged my battery. I still feel like I need more charging but time doesn’t allow for that.
