I woke up with a tension headache. I have had this headache for about a week. It is annoying but this morning it was making me a little nauseous. I was up around 5:30 and the house was quiet. Everyone was sleeping except for me.
I sat in the dark with my eyes closed sipping some ginger water and feeling sorry for myself. Then I got mad. I was mad at my work situation. I do enjoy my job, however the stupid new system was a mess and I needed to do manual audits on 84 jobs. Each job audit takes about 5-10 minutes to make sure all the information is correct.
I just need time set aside when I am not bombarded with questions from people within the organization. I decided this weekend I am going to put a dent in it. This will help the lingering stress of it just dangling over me and transforming into a tight band around my skull. Not really the way I want to spend a weekend, but I am sick of this damn headache!
Almost as soon as I made the decision, my headache started to subside. Stress is a real Plonker! I am practicing using this word!
Paul came downstairs and we sat together waiting for our company to wake up.
Paul was not entertained with my coffee question.
“What do you think the YMCA human interpretation would look like if instead of spelling it out with your body in English, you spelled it out with your body in Chinese characters?”
Paul “why would you think of that?”
Me:” no idea, but don’t you kinda want to see that?”
I then googled the chatter for Y and it decided this dance would take on the look of the aftermath of someone getting hit by a bus and tumbling down the street in slow motion. I may work on this interpretation….you never know when it could be handy.
Our company got themselves ready and departed for SUNY Brockport. Selfishly, I hope they like the program so I can see Ethan’s nurse more often. Ethan would like it too! This lady was his protector. She was a huge emotional support for us both.
She invited us to come visit her house whenever we wanted.
I spent the rest of the day working on my audit. It was boring. I took a few breaks here and there. I put a good dent in it.
I played a few movies that were funny that had me laughing out loud….with only the dogs to listen.
Ethan, Paul and myself did watch our show together. Of course I had little Jiminy beans in my face.
