I tried to listen to a pod cast while I worked today. Nope! I get so distracted, lose my train of thought, unable to focus and get frustrated. I was reading the same sentence 6 and 7 times and still not able to retain it. I even was reading it out loud so I could hear it too. This has followed me my whole life. I am not sure why I thought today would be different. 

We humans are weird with our quirks. I am not sure if we develop more as we age OR we just become more aware of them.

I am enjoying the pet tracking device on Moe. Thanks Cheryl. It is a fun toy. Basically it shows me where Moe is all the time and also keeps track of his fitness like a Fitbit. It is called Tractive.

It measures his speed, he tops out at 17 mph. I want to put it on Penny because she is fast too.  But the areas of red he was running! He went hog wild. This was on our walk around the field. It has gotten me off my butt and moving too. Since I am not sitting, I can walk to pass time. The dogs love that I have a back injury because they go on more walks. Somehow it doesn’t bother me when I walk. Motion is lotion!

I made some chili from the tomato’s from my garden. I added some peppers that I blended up and froze a few weeks back. The sweet peppers were mixed with jalapeño peppers so they gave it a kick. It was Ethan approved and low salt. I froze the leftovers for his “safe” meals.

I enjoy cooking easy meals. If it becomes too complicated, I don’t enjoy it as much. I plan to meal prep this weekend because it is something I can do standing up. No bending, no twisting, no lifting. Preserve the back. Plus I need another week healed under my belt for my traveling next weekend. 

I am going to visit my nephew in North Carolina, then popping over to Virginia for a day for work, then arriving home on Tuesday. It will be busy. I am asking for help lifting my carry on. I am hoping if I am the last on the plane, I can just check it at the gate. I never check a suitcase anymore, only bring a carryon. It reduces my anxiety. It all goes back to us humans are weird with our quirks. Well…at least I am.
