Today I was following the story of the CEO of United Healthcare that was murdered.

It has been suspected that this senseless murder could be due to denial of needed treatments of procedures they likely needed, which our family has seen our fair share of. I can understand the frustration, mental toll it takes and the negative feelings that spiral around it like a tornado.

I don’t believe this man needed to be murdered! Lack of insurance coverage is not one person’s fault. I do, however, feel this will bring more attention to this out of control insurance situation.

This is the time of year (December) that is especially difficult to lose someone. I like to take a moment each year to consider those that are in the different stages of grief over someone they loved.

I worked a half day and spent the other half with Sarah. My Sarah! We shared many laughs. It’s funny how different this December trip has become over the years.

We would comb every detail of our purchases, take great care in making sure the excitement of Santa was able to live and thrive in our homes.

It has taken a much more relaxing turn. Yes we shop. We aren’t spending as much time fiendishly wrapping. It is good and sad at the same time. We enjoyed the moments of our kids Christmas joy and excitement. We just find different ways to have fun with the kids to keep Christmas exciting.

We put a decent dent in what we need to accomplish.

I was telling Sarah about the Tik Tok I saw about an ER doctor pointing out things like Christmas tree decode and how he does not advise putting it up your butt. Apparently Christmas brings out more of the cases of things stuck on that area of the body.

I made sure I showed Sarah several examples of things to “not put up her butt”. Giggling each time at the thought of it.

With multiple laughs, adult beverages and lots of sarcasm, so far it has been an awesome day.
