It was a chilly morning going to physical therapy. Paul worked from home again today and had to plow the driveway multiple times. Our neighbor helped us with his snowblower, as our piles are becoming quite high. Our 4 wheeler with the plow is running out of places to put the snow.
We are so thankful that our neighbor was helping us. I love that we have them. We have helped them out as well in the past. I enjoy that sense of community.
These same neighbors are across the street from us. My desk faces their house and I see them come and go daily. Today a strange truck was in their driveway. The truck backed in and the driver sat in the vehicle for about 20 minutes.
I realized I have officially taken over as the mayor of our small neighborhood. I am the daytime neighborhood watch system. Avery always makes fun of me because I am aware of their schedules.
I have even texted the neighbor to let them know their dog pooped in the driveway near their car and to avoid stepping in it. They probably are so annoyed with me.
I called Paul in to look at the suspicious truck in their driveway. As we were both looking out the window, I said to Paul “Avery is missing this fine detective work we are doing.”
I told Paul we needed to really look like we were keeping a close eye on the situation and then snapped a picture for Avery.
I sent this picture to Avery and said “there is a suspicious vehicle in the neighbors driveway. Dad and I are keeping a close eye on the situation.”
She laughed out loud. I am glad she appreciates us.
I have two alarms set early in the morning so that I don’t miss my flight in the morning. I hope the weather cooperates and I don’t run into any travel delays.
ah the fun of working from home. I dubbed myself the "Gladys Kravitz" of our neighborhood, with my perch and literal birdseye view of the street. I see it all! and love to report on it!
