12/13/24

I finally got Ethan signed up for an insurance plan today. Phew!

I took the day off. I have been feeling a bit burned out by work. It is nice to have a few days where I can recharge.

We went to dinner at Bill Gray’s. I couldn’t believe how busy it was. There was a Christmas party going on it their private room.

We watched these two little kids, probably like 9 and 8 years old. They found a dart (plastic tip) and they were taking turns throwing it at the dart board. I was cheering them on. It reminded me of when Ethan and Avery were younger. They would play like this when the adults were talking about boring adult things. They were nice kids.

We left Bill Gray’s and went to the Kodak Theatre to watch Circa Musica. This is what it would look like if cirque de sole and Christmas had a baby.

There was a little man that was the host.  He was pretty entertaining.

Paul smelled the hot roasted almonds and needed to get some. We passed “Paul’s nuts” around. Paul kept his nuts tucked away so that not just anyone could get a taste. This joke went on too long.

The show was really good. There was about 20 people in the cast. They all had multiple talents. Juggling. Singing, dancing,

Paul was hilarious. He kept watching these people do stunts, but he was watching with a constant state of disbelief. It really was cool to watch these talented people.

He made comments like “these people really make those of us less coordinated feel terrible.”

As we exited the theater, we had to go down the stairs again like cattle in a cattle shoot. I don’t like that feeling all I can think of is 911 and how those people must have felt. These stairs were a controlled setting and everyone was happy because the show was good.

We finally got to the car and of course the parking lot was jammed. We sat and watched people looking for their cars, setting off their car alarms to find their car Paul consider just throwing his car alarm on, even though we were in the car just to confuse everybody, but he did not. We laughed about that idea, though.

As we were exiting there was a lady in a silver truck on the back window. There was a sticker that said baby on board so you would think that this loving mother would be thoughtful of all human life. Well that just wasn’t the case. She was real mad at Paul because Paul was trying to edge his way towards the exit like everybody else

She kept giving Paul stinky looks. She was saying nasty things with her window up. Paul let her go first.  She was not happy and almost hit the guard rail and sped off. We hoped that she had the day that she had earned.

We talked about how angry she was after a Christmas show and we laughed and went on about our day about 4 miles later on Ridge Road. We were Right next to each other at a light and so we waved at her.

We enjoyed looking at Christmas lights on the ride home. It was very Christmasy and it was just a really nice night, but Paul’s face was definitely the highlight of my night.

I might make a Tic Tok of Paul later because his faces were so fun.

    1. I totally was watching Paul. He was so animated! I enjoyed watching his faces. But the stunts they were doing were worthy of the faces he made. Amazing!
