Why is December going so fast?!?!? I know…I know…it is only the second day…but still!
We woke up to a light blanket of snow. I actually woke up because I heard thunder! I was so excited we were having a thunder snow situation, I ran to the window and saw the damn plow. No thunder snow situation. Boo! 😒
I listened to some Christmas tunes. I like the vintage songs more. The Andrew’s sisters, Irving Berlin, Brenda Lee and even Englebert Humperdinck which is fun to say. I have favorites throughout all the decades.
I had my Christmas lights on while I worked and the fire was cranking. Not a bad situation at all.
I never finished the story about the ATM card yesterday. I fell asleep.
So this lady found my ATM card and did quite a bit of research before she was able to connect with me. Apparently I have myself pretty well hidden on Facebook.
She contacted her friend’s friend that has a similar name as we do. That friend just so happens to know Ethan. He reached out to Ethan and Ethan asked me if I lost my ATM card. I told him “no” because I didn’t even know it was missing.
Once I checked my purse….oh shoot! (Except I didn’t say shoot!) I got her name from Ethan’s friend and reached out to her on Facebook.
She was going to drop my ATM card off at my house. No way! She found the card, was nice enough to go through the hassle of finding me, I am not making her drive out of the way and use her gas because we left the card behind (actually Paul left it behind, but I didn’t notice either).
I ended going to her house to grab it. She lived just a few miles away. She even has a pit-bull so she must be wonderful! It is nice to know that caring people do exist still. Not like she was going to “hit the jackpot” with my ATM card.
Maybe she was able to access my account and saw my balance. That is what made her decide to give it back? Ha ha. “No I insist! You take it back!”
She was really nice. I ended up driving home a different way than I had come, so I could see ALL the Christmas lights!
I like this time of year. Everything tastes like peppermint, smells like pine trees and cinnamon, and I get to drink mocha mint coffee. Yum!
I arrived home and found our very tall nutcracker man in the side yard, had flopped over itself. It looked quite inappropriate. I got him standing tall again. I wondered if this guy saw Paul doing something similar in the yard and was trying to copy. Now I am very suspicious of what Paul is doing when I am not around. Ha ha!
nutcracker down!
