I like frogs. I enjoy hearing them sing. I enjoy seeing them in our pond. They don’t bite and they eat bugs. I hate bugs. Frogs aren’t messy, they don’t cause damage. Yup! I can live with frogs all day long.
I was pleasantly surprised with the temperature when I let the dogs out. They were out for a while doing dog stuff. I went to the door to check and see if anyone was ready to come in. I found this beauty.
It was like he was ready to come in like the dogs. The Matt does say “welcome”. It actual says “Welcome just kidding please go home.” I called Ethan to come look. We used to catch frogs at the park together and bring them back to our pond when he was little.
I looked closer and he must have jumped in the ash bucket (no hot ashes luckily). I went to go pick him up to rinse him off and he hopped away.
What a nice little gift first thing in the morning. Ethan and I shared a moment just looking at him and joking about how he wanted to come in and live here. Or maybe he was trying to sell us something. Perhaps offer us an extension on our car warranty?
My back was sore today. I am beefing up my physical therapy to twice a week until our trip. I added in two massages too, just to loosen up those muscles.
Avery called today. I love hearing her voice. We chatted for a little bit. She was sharing that I totally misunderstood her “presentation” she is doing for Scholar’s Day. Apparently she will have the poster she made, summarizing her project she did for her externship. The poster will show what she did, what she learned etc.
Other students will be showcasing their work as well.
The way she first described it sounded like there would be seats and she would be speaking. That isn’t the case.
The plan is to arrive early, find a quiet nook or retreat to my car and join Ethan’s virtual nephrology appointment. Ahhh the glamorous life of doctor’s appointments. I am so glad this can be done virtually. I have seen some of Ethan’s tests trickle in. I have to google them to find out what they are looking for. I try to piece what I think they mean and then I like to see how close I am.
They show up in Ethan’s medical chart. For example, his anti-DS DNA AB test. Never head of such a test. So I am learning from ground zero.
Penny suckered me into allowing her to come to bed the second night in a row. She ferociously wags her tail with joy at the bottom of the stairs. She has a glow in her big round eyes. How do I say “no”? But this is the last night!!! (But probably not).
Haha I love the whole welcome mat and frog story!
