Paul and I had our morning coffee together. I totally enjoy annoying him.
“Paul, what do you think Lo Mein noodles are made out of?” I was asking because I didn’t know and wondered if it would be an egg and flour base like pasta.
“It’s made of Lo Mein.” He said.
“Thanks. Thanks for that useless I formation.” I said. Just another Sunday conversation. He laughed at me response. He annoys me as much as I annoy him and I mostly enjoy it.
By the way, Lo Mein just means noodles mixed together, it is not the ingredients of the noodles Paul!
Our conversation naturally led into what we were doing today.
“I am going to get groceries and stop at the liquor store and get TWO boxes of wine so we don’t run into an emergent situation like last night where you have to drink bottled wine.”
Paul was forced to drink wine out of a bottle last night and commented that he thought bottled wine is stronger than boxed wine.
“It was not an emergency.” He said. That was his today argument. Yesterday’s argument was pleading “will you please stop at the liquor store and get me wine.” I declined because it was too cold out. Ha! He can drink from a bottle for one day. We have like 72 bottles in the house.
“If you want non-potent wine, why don’t I buy you non-alcoholic wine?” I said pretending to be helpful.
“That’s called grape juice. There isn’t dry grape juice.” He said.
“Yes there is…it is made with dry grapes.” He gave me the look. He knows I will get his wine for him, even though it is cold out. I reminded him I am risking my life and getting frost bite so that he can have his wine. 🍷
I ended up getting him 3 boxes of wine. I hid 2 of them so I have them in case of another “emergency” wine situation.
Paul left for the day and went riding on the snowmobile. He came back home after the Super Bowl started. I didn’t have the Super Bowl on. I ended up booking a cruise with our travel friends for 2027 instead. Paul had the half time show on but I wasn’t paying attention.
He mentioned that it wasn’t music he liked. He didn’t enjoy it. I was more engaged in what we were going to do on our cruise excursions and familiarizing myself with options of things to do on a boat.
Paul and I are both skeptical if we will enjoy this. We figure that if we are going with friends, we will at least have good company.
A cruise!!! You'll have fun on it, especially for all the people watching you'll do. You'll really love that! I want details of where you're going.
