​Ethan had his dermatology appointment today. He doesn’t mind these appointments because they seem to go quick. He has to go every 6 months forever. 

He likes me to go to these appointments as a second set of ears. His rejection medications significantly increase his chance of developing melanoma, basil cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. 

She goes over his body with a light and magnifying glass. Last time they removed a “spot” that was suspected of potentially being cancerous. He left work two days in a row early. Likely putting him under the $25 per week that he made over the threshold for full medicaid coverage. Good grief!

He has had a good week with his dentist appointment and dermatology appointment walking away with good news. He needs good news.

No suspicious spots today! Yay!

Work today felt like babysitting. I sent out several emails to people that weren’t doing what was expected of them. Please just do your job so I can do mine. Is that too much to ask?

Sarah took me out for a birthday dinner. It was glorious. I chose Bill Grey’s. A cheeseburger and fries with vinegar really hit the spot. 

Sarah is spending the night so she can have a quick commute to her job in the morning. We had fun chatting and talking about things that life is throwing our way. 

Ethan did his first injection tonight to help lower his cholesterol. It wasn’t too bad. He chose to give himself the injection. He was nervous. 

The Lovenox injections were really awful and left a scar in his memory. This injection doesn’t sting, bruise and they use a very small needle. Much more compatible for compliance. Plus it isn’t daily like the Lovenox was. It is every 14 days.

We will see if he has any side effects. I was proud of him for doing it.

Penny secured a spot in our bed tonight. She was being cute and lovable. It worked. We complain about Penny but we really do love her and enjoy her enthusiasm for life. She is a great cuddler.

I made a presentation for my team tomorrow. I think it will be helpful to keep everyone in the loop for upcoming changes. I am really trying to be the leader I would want. I am finding I am protective of my team! They are a great group of ladies! It is weird going from co-worker to leader though. 

I got home from dinner and found Paul standing over Ethan’s car. He needed his air conditioning fixed. My favorite “classic Paul” scene….Paul standing over an engine with a glass of wine. There is no doubt that glass will not make it back inside the house. I will find it in the barn a month from now. Ha!
