I hurt my back today. I was sitting on the floor for far too long.
“How did you hurt your back?”
Me “sitting”. And…..that is classic aging at its finest. I wish I could say I hurt my back learning a new karate move or something cool like that. Nope. Sitting!
I powered through the pain until I wasn’t able to go up the stairs anymore. These dogs aren’t going to clean themselves or their bedding.
Ethan took pity on me and brought in wood for the fire, which I appreciated.
I did some organizing and lots of cleaning. I went through our upstairs closet, which is a catch all for extra inventory. I am also throwing stuff away. I don’t need those half used lotions from the hotel. I am not actively using them.
I found soooooo much dental floss and toothpaste. I also have a decent stash of back up deodorant. I also have a decent inventory on travel bug spray and travel sun screen. I probably don’t need to buy any of those items for the next 2-3 years. I clearly have an anxiety of running out.
I want to go through these closets, drawers and cabinets over the winter, so when it is summer, I don’t have to worry about it. It’s done and easy to see my stock. I have things in bins that are labeled. “Dental”, “pain relief”, “cold medicine” and so on. Can you say anal?
Avery called today to see if we could walk through her FAFSA application. She has a portion and the parents have a portion to complete. There was a lot of reading.
I did a little more reading about how there is a prototype of an externally worn artificial kidney that continuously filters the blood of toxins. It has not hit the market yet but shows promising results in the preliminary studies. I like to read as much as I can about kidney developments. I am anxious for Ethan’s bloodwork on the 24 th. I am hoping his values are starting to turn around.
Ethan had to take a couple hours long mid day nap. He is always feeling fatigued. Penny and Jiminy thought his nap idea was great. The three of them snuggled and snoozed on the couch this afternoon.
I decided to take it easy for late afternoon and early evening. I am hoping the back feels a bit better by morning. All I really want is a tolerable amount of pain.
