1/25/26

I am not impressed with our “snow storm”. Sure, we are getting snow but it isn’t like a huge amount. 12-18 inches over a day and a half? Eh. Seems like a typical January event.

I was hoping for thunder and lightening or something cool to happen. Maybe a non-devastating earthquake to rattle our house a little. Just something a little exciting. Devastated

I am thankful I don’t have to drive in the morning. Paul plans to work from home. Ethan plans to go to work as usual.

A snow event like this one is an introvert dream.  Cozy in front of the fireplace. I do think about the homeless and hoping they find shelter from the cold and snow.

We are packing up and getting ready for our trip up snowmobiling. I will not be riding (and have been benched for life)….stupid back!

My plan is to work during the day, hang out in the evenings. Still not a bad gig. It has been a few years since I was last able to go.

I actually logged into work today and worked for a few hours because tomorrow Ethan has a dermatology appointment. 50% of white transplant recipients develop skin cancer. He doesn’t spend a whole lot of time in the sun which will help him, but I don’t really like those odds. We will set up routine screenings to make sure that we don’t miss anything.

Next week Ethan has his annual echo and meets with his cardiologist. He keeps me busy as his medical secretary.

Moe got his weekly bath and I gave him an extensive brush job. I tried to get out a bunch of his undercoat. He is so soft after a bath. He dried in front of the fireplace.

I tackled more organizing. Today I focused on our half bath. I went through all the drawers and organized things. There is definitely less clutter. Yay!

I made dinner and baked some bread. It was delicious. I had more bread than I should have had. It was delicious all warm with melted butter on it.

It’s hard to believe that my dad passed away from cancer 31 years ago. Thinking of you dad.

Weekends always feel so short.
