We had a bad smell in our refrigerator. I knew where the smell was coming from and purposely kept the item in the fridge. Everytime the door was opened the bad smell would burp out. I wanted to see how the boys would let it go on for.
Ethan acknowledged the smell and let me know about it but did not troubleshooting to find out where it was coming from. Paul complained about the smell but also let it sit there without investigation.
Later in the evening Paul opened the fridge and burped out the sour fart, hot garbage smell. He asked me what it was. I asked him what troubleshooting he had done to try to identify the smell. He had not done any.
I pulled the container I knew was the culprit as asked Paul to smell it to see if that was the smell he was talking about.
He gagged, coughed, and gagged some more. There may have been some dry heaving. There were swear words. He shook his head “yes” and we had finally identified the smell. I know it was mean, but he has done this to me in the past. I quickly took the culprit to the outside garbage can.
I went to Avery’s for her “colors” party. I got to meet all the friends Avery and Kendall talk about. They have a solid group of friends. There were 8 girls. It was a diverse group of smarty pants people. I totally enjoyed listening to them talk.
I remember being in that early stage in life. One girl was talking about buying a house with her boyfriend. One girl talked about town house living and how she can’t wait to be someplace where she can have pets. It was nice to be around young energy.
A “colors” party is when everyone picks a color and has to bring a food item that color. My color was yellow. I brought bread sticks from Pizza Hut.
There was quite a spread of food. Strawberry cream cheese cookies, pistachio bread, fried chicken, spinach dip, chicken wing dip and more.
After we all ate, they started talking about playing a game. One girl said “I brought a really cool puzzle”. Everyone laughed and that idea was poo pooed. She actually did bring a puzzle though.
They played an interactive game on tv. It was fun. There was lots of laughing and I was thankful Avery invited me. Plus I got to see my little grand cat. I gave him treats from Glam-ma. (Because I am so glamorous.)
I may have left some surprises around her apartment to remind her that Mom was there. She found them and was laughing. She also called me an “a$$ hole”. This is the ultimate compliment from my family.
I left to get my grocery pick up and go home. The drive home was a bit sketchy with the snow blowing. Lucky we live so rural there wasn’t too much traffic, I couldn’t really see where the road was at times so I just drove in the middle of the road and moved over if a car came.
I am ready for a weekend in. This snow storm sounds like it is going to be a doozy. It is going to affect people across the nation. Stay safe everyone.
