It was a wonderful nights sleep windows open, it got down to 61 degrees. We had coffee and chatted the morning. We have a large sliding glass wall almost that we can open up over looking the pool and canal way.

We discussed the plan for the day. Get out and See the island. We decided on going to the best beach on the island. Why not?

It is near the sand bar that I wanted to visit. Let’s do a meal there.

Supposedly the best beach on the island is at Lucian national park. We packed up and drove there. The entire drive was on an expressway the was surrounded by dead trees. Hurricane Dorian caused mass destruction in 2019 and wiped out these forests. The 185+ winds plus the salt water did not support healthy forests.

We got to Lucayan National Park. We took a bit of a walk to see the caves. They were pretty cool.

We then went on a walk to Rock beach. We had a cooler packed. We found a picnic table to sit at. The ocean felt good. It was quite warm and the ocean did the trick.

The sand was so fine it was soft. It really popped with the turquoise glowing in the background. I was feeding the sand piper birds. They were fun to watch.

We went to the Sand Bar for lunch. We sat outside overlooking the beach a few short steps away.

After lunch we stopped at a gas station. We haven’t really been able to find bottled water. While in the store we saw some interesting sauce. Goat, Beef, Pepper lemon sauce. Hmmmmmm…..wonder what it tastes like. Not really.

When we got back to the house, I walked across the street to the beach. It was low tide. I took a lengthy walk. I found a sand dollar creature. I also watched this pelican fly around looking for a fish dinner. He awkwardly landed in an evergreen tree.
