My travel advice for anyone booking airline tickets. DO NOT USE THIRD PARTY BOOKING SITES! Luckily, I was able to get Diane’s flight reimbursed through American Airline because I booked directly through the airline. I have used third party sites in the past and have been burned.
This morning Paul and I sat outside having our coffee and enjoying the view. We listened to the birds, smelled the sweet smell of the trees and flowers.
We decided to go to a new beach today, Xanadu beach. There was one other couple there on the beach with us. We found a little shady nook and put our towels down. The sun was hot and strong. It was closer to high tide. We saw a crab scurrying across the sand. He was ready to fight me. Claws up and in fighting stance.

We also found some interesting things on the beach that made us wonder the back story.

And we saw a sandalwood tree. Get it?
We had the speaker going and the water felt refreshing. We are wearing SPF 50/70 to stay safe. After feeling crispy we came back to the house.

On our way back, we spotted a comically large Adirondack chair in someone’s yard. Clearly they have put it there for people like us to sit in. We pulled over and in Chinese fire drill fashion, we got a picture of Andy and I sitting in it. We got the heck out of there in less than 30 seconds.

Paul has been such a trooper driving. The cars drive on the opposite side of the road., but the correct side of the car thankfully.
We made it back to the house undetected from our chair excursion. The pool is much cooler than the ocean. I saw a honey bee in the pool and tried to save it. It ended up stinging me on the finger. I tried. Jerk bee!
I decided I had enough alcoholic beverages and a bee sting, so I should take a nap. The windows were open and the ceiling fan was on. It was delightful. I don’t normally nap, so this was a treat.
Our tour guide for tomorrow called me and followed up with the tour we are supposed to go on. I have my hat and rash guard (shirt that protects me from the sun). I am ready to go in the water and see some stingray tomorrow.
I took an afternoon stroll on the beach. I am surprised at how much sea glass I have found. I love walking the beach looking for cool rocks, sea glass and critters. It will be difficult to decide what I am bringing back home.
It feels so good being in the sunshine. Why does the week go by so fast when you are on vacation?
For dinner we went to a place called Pier One. It is an eatery that they feed the sharks and you can watch the sharks eat. COOL! It lasted about 10-15 minutes and was quite entertaining. We ate dinner there. The sharks were a huge bonus!

We came back and sat outside overlooking the canal as the sun went down. It became dark and I heard a noise. I looked over and a rat was darting towards me. Cue the obnoxious terrified noise I made. I jumped up and ran towards the pool. Paul was asking me what was wrong. I couldn’t even talk as I heard the stupid critter scurrying around. Barf! I went inside….for the night! Nope! I don’t like it at all!
We giggled at these signs.
