3/23/26

For today’s exploration, we went to the boiling hole. It’s an underwater sink hole. It is known for its unique tidal phenomenon. It makes the water to be boiling. It wasn’t as exciting as it was made out to be.  But the water was brilliant and we saw lots of ships which was cool.

We were the only people there. We were right near the port. We saw many ships leaving and arriving at the port.We didn’t stay long before moving on to the next location.

We then headed to paradise cove. It is a bar/restaurant where you can rent chairs and snorkel. We got some chairs and an umbrella. We quietly snuck in alcoholic beverages. We sat  off to the side and minded our own business. They left us alone.  We didn’t actually snorkel. We enjoyed the afternoon on the beach.

We found a few sand dollars that were dead. Neat! We tried to go to a restaurant. We walked in and were seated. We were clearly out of place and there were just locals in the restaurant. Suddenly, the kitchen was closed. We left. We can take a hint.

We decided to just go back to the house. A day in the sun is exhausting. I took a walk on the beach while the boys stayed back and hung out.

I was the only one on the beach. It was delightful. I walked in the water about ankle deep. I was looking at the fish darting around. I saw a crab scurrying. I enjoy just looking at the sea life, shells and rocks.

Paul was feeling a bit crispy this evening. He applied some aloe. His skin easily will convert it to a nice golden tan by morning.

Andy and I are far more pale. We have to be far more diligent limiting the sun exposure. Thankfully we had the umbrella to shield us from the burning rays of the sun. We are doing our best not to sizzle in the hot Bahama sun.

Avery texted and was featured in  an article in “The Daily Eagle”! Go Avery!
