Sarah and I packed up our hotel room because our weekend was over As we were leaving, we had our cars parked in front of a pond. There were geese at the pond with their babies as we were watching the mama and Papa geese tend to their babies. I thought wow what a gift to see that as we were talking about that gift a turtle popped his head out of the water and I said what a gift we got today a turtle popping his head out of the water and geese with their babies.

It reminded me how important weekends like this are sometimes I get caught up in making sure that I do all of my chores every weekend that I don’t necessarily take a moment to enjoy the life going on around me.

Avery has decided that she wants a kitten. She and her friend Kendall have been following this litter of kittens since they were born. Today they were going to meet the kittens and pick one out.  What? I want to go!!!!

I don’t have time today to go with them, but I’m making time because not only do I get to spend that time with Avery and Kendall. I know that this will be a really positive memory for them.

There were 5 kittens. All grey except one had some white on it. They both sat back to watch the kittens. They were only 4 weeks old. They were not steady on their feet as they are still building up their muscle.

One kitten was quite relaxed and seemed to gravitate towards them both. They de used that was the baby they wanted.

He was the cutest.

We met up with Kendall’s dad. He was walking Kendall on how to change a bulb near the license plate. Turns out there was a bigger problem besides a bulb or a fuse. It was nice to watch how patient he was with Kendall. What a great dad!

We all went to dinner and then came home afterward. I am glad I went.

    1. They were adorable. I know this kitten is going to hit terrible two’s in another 6-8 weeks.

  2. oh that kitten is going to be so spoiled! Was it a girl's Lacrosse team at the hotel? It might have been my Alma Mater Salisbury University. They played St. John Fisher on Saturday.

    1. It was a men’s team. They were from Rensselaer. They were very quiet after 10.
