7/15/25

I saw the sun come up when I was walking the dogs this morning. I needed to get on the road by 6:30 am to get home for my first phone interview. I made good time with only a few nimrods going under the speed limit in front of me.

I kept my distance because little Jiminy can’t be bumping his head in the car. I need to keep all the dogs safe and in one piece.

I was very thankful we have air conditioning today. It is certainly a privilege. I was listening to people that live in Ontario on the radio. They were talking about how they don’t have air-conditioning and they sit on their couch sweating and unable to move away from the fan. You know that is a stinky, sticky, miserable mess.

My phone was blowing up when I pulled into the driveway. It was my boss asking me why I was late to the meeting. 6 minutes late to be exact. I didn’t have a meeting scheduled though.

She realized she created a meeting and never invited me to it. Ha! Phew! She was actually worried because I am always early to meetings. It was uncharacteristic for me not to show up without an explanation ahead of time. She was glad that was all it was.

Paul sent me a distressed text in the middle of the day saying he would like to retire so he is going to start playing the lottery. That didn’t sound like a good start for him. I don’t mind that plan at all. Except we will actually have to buy the lottery tickets.

After work I ran to the pharmacy to pick up 5 prescriptions. I needed a bag to carry them all in. I looked like I had a real problem.

I ran a few errands and made it home in time to walk the dogs. Moe went hog wild in the tall grass. I had to check him over for ticks. Yuck!

I am going into day 3 of 12 consecutive work days. I leave for my conference on Friday. I am excited. It will be a long weekend but should be good.

I will likely start packing tomorrow or Thursday. I won’t have much to pack so that’s good. I am going to try to only take one bag. We will see how that goes.
