This morning I woke up and tried to scrub the coffee stain out of the WHITE shirt we are required to wear at our booth. I don’t wear white. I can’t be trusted to keep it clean. We only got one white shirt too. Yikes. Keep it clean and not smelly for THREE days?!?!? Someone has extreme faith in me and the rest of the team.
We finished up at the conference and myself and two other ladies headed to the airport together. We went our separate ways and I got into my security line. That is when all the noises started to grate on my nerves. My social battery was on empty and now I was starting to crack a little.
Why must we have our phones on full volume during security check in? If you miss a call or a text for 10 minutes is it that big of a deal? Probably not.
People answer their phone, (but let it ring several times first) then proceed to have a conversation. They don’t pay attention to what they are doing in security and three people that did this in my small little area, held up the line because they didn’t pull out their lap top….holding everyone up. Yep! I was officially cranky at this point.
Then the gate alarms kept going off. It was so loud. It was Rattling whatever brains I have in my head. There was no urgency to quiet them.
I found a private little cove to hide out for 4 hours until I headed to my gate around 9:30. My flight was delayed a little bit because we didn’t have a crew. Awesome! Traveling is so fun.
The brightside was that the delay was pretty short lived which was helpful for the stress level.
I boarded the plane and they gave me a tag to check my bag. Ummmm…no thanks. I have one back pack with me. The last time they made me go to baggage claim to pick it up, delayed me at the airport for 45 minutes and ended up my bag had not left the previous airport. I will not participate in that nonsense unless I am forced to. Play dumb and be polite.
My bag was not big so I hid the tag. It fit neatly under my seat. I sat next to a nice girl. We chatted for a few minutes and then the flight attendant asked if I wanted my own row….SEE YA LADY! I moved before the stewardess finished her sentence.
As we took off, I saw the Washington Monument.
There was a man behind me that had some periodic gas, but other than that it was uneventful.
you had me LOL at the "periodic gas". ewww!
ReplyDeletewelcome home!!
I was searching about heart transplants cause I like the science in it. Gee, I wish I had studied that. I just want to say that whenever I think of past problems, then I contrast that with your sharing on YouTube. And it is fortifying and motivating to see your fight. It makes my problems seem tiny. Thanks for sharing. I wish you more health. May all your wishes come true.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your kind words. It has been quite a rollercoaster for Ethan the past 5 years. Thanks for taking the time out of your day to make ours a little brighter!
