Avery came with me on the morning dog walk. We go for a fairly decent walk to tire out the dogs. It was so hot already and it was only 9:00 am. Being near the lake seemed like the only solution.
We decided to trade around vehicles so the kids could leave early. Paul wanted to do some outside h ch ores. I wanted to do a deep cleaning of the camper. 6 adults and 4 dogs for an extended period of time… things were grungy.
I aired out the rugs, vacuumed everything, changed out the dog bedding, etc! The camper smelled fresh and inviting for the next time.
Paul and I would do a little work, then sit. At one point I HAD to go in the lake. I brought shampoo just to get the sweaty stink out of my hair.
We had a late lunch/early dinner and headed for home. Our drive was uneventful. I worked the entire way. It allowed me to get ready for Marathon Monday.
My day is full tomorrow.
The kids really helped out with unloading the cars for me.
We got home around 7:45 pm.
