Diane ended up taking us to the airport this morning. She volunteered. It was bitter sweet. She was making us laugh in the car.

TSA was not bad at all and we breezed right through it. There was a large man in front of me that had the unfortunate experience of being patted down. The TSA man assured the guy that he was using the back of his had as if that somehow made it better in his groin area.

We had several baby’s on our flight. Andy looks around and says:

“Where is this flight going? Epstein Island?” We laughed. So inappropriate.

We arrived in Miami and it was actually pleasant outside. We had to get off and on the plane outside. That always seems so exotic to me.

We had a 5 hour layover. Ethan was texting us. He was tracking our flight on radar and giving us updates on the dogs.

We saw a lot of interesting people, interesting outfits, and interesting behaviors.  There was a girl wearing these odd shoes that I described to Paul as “camel toe” shoes.

On guy I walked by smelled like rotting cheese. I wondered what on his body could cause such a yucky smell. 🤮 I probably don’t want to know.

When our boarding time was getting closer, we moved to the gate we were boarding. We had been ticked off to the side where it was less people-y. What a mess. People were going every which way, each gate agent was shouting directions. Some how Andy and I were in boarding group number 6. Paul was in group 9. We teased him that he had to board with the poor people. Us far more sophisticated people were in group 6.

Our 2 nd flight was 25 minutes. The water looked so brilliant.  We got off the and went through immigration. It was quick.

We were off to the car rental. First in line, that also went quick. The steering wheel is on the correct side of the car, Paul just to drive on the opposite side of the road.

We grabbed some local beer and food from the store. We then walked across the street to a bar and grille. We sat outside overlooking the ocean. Bliss!

After dinner Paul and I went on a walk on the beach. It is so close! We looked for neat sea shells and sand glass.

My back was pretty sore from all the sitting I have done.  We have our windows open and there is a delightful tropical breeze coming through. We made it.
