Today was a work day. We are celebrating Mother’s Day tomorrow since I will be globe trotting on Mother’s Day.
My brother came to town again to help my Mom and Gene move. We have been carting stuff from one spot to the next. Ethan is taking some shelving for his barndominium. He is excited about the shelving. He is still bummed it isn’t dry out.
We spent the majority of the day carting thins here and there. It was great exercise and I was thankful for that. I do like the added benefit of exercise when I am focused on a different task.
Ethan got his bloodwork done again today. He was excited that his GFR (the rate he filters his blood) has improved by a few points.
We finally received communication that Ethan has to pay back the $12,000 the government mistakenly paid him over the course of several months. We received a letter today saying we have a phone call meeting on Monday at 9:30. Nothing like a decent heads up. It was after hours so Ethan couldn’t call his work and report. I scrambled to arrange things at work. Ugh!
I luckily was able to block off my calendar,. I am so annoyed. The letter was dated April 14 th but the letter came on May 1st. What the heck?
Ethan was saying that the amount was a third of his salary.
We worked into the evening and finally gave ourselves a break. We were exhausted. But had made progress. That was huge!
Tomorrow morning we will focus our efforts on getting ready for our Mother’s Day lunch.Paul has to leave afterwards to do some work things. Avery and Kendall will be with us so that is exciting.
