We had “severe weather” today. I was not impressed with how lackluster these storms were. Our house (side of the road) was being dramatic and lost power from a little bit of wind. Our neighbors across the street had power. They were taunting us with their lights on as we drove down to my mom’s house to steal her power.

It rained, there was a little bit of thunder and apparently a tornado was spotted at one point. The scene put my window was boring and just a storm.

I did find it rather exciting to have the prospect of seeing a tornado come through. How cool would that be? Of course ideally there would be zero damage. I am not asking for a lot…just a good storm!

The greatness of the day mixed with the lull of the rain made me sleepy. It made the dogs sleepy too. They were sleep bragging, letting me know how much they were enjoying their slumber by their little snores. Jerks. All warm and snuggling while I am slaving away so we can afford THEIR food. Ha!

Avery used some vegetables we were given last night to make vegetable lasagne. Can’t wait for those leftovers. It smelled delicious but I will have my first taste tomorrow.

This week work has been kicking my butt as I am served my vacation punishment. Sometimes the hard work and long hours just get you closer to the fun. Work hard, play hard.

I have back to back meetings for almost 5 hours tomorrow. Here is the best part, after that, I get to spend the weekend with my Sarah (and her family). We are going to camp. Avery and Rachel are going, Sarah’s kids and their friends are going. We hope to get some kids out on the tube!

I am hoping someone will take out the paddle boat so I can do some redneck tubing. Nice and slow tubing.
