Today was quite busy for me. I sifted through a pile of emails. I attended my meetings and picked away at the mountain of tasks I needed to do.
It was so warm and humid out. Yuck! My hair was revolting to the humidity. I decided I didn’t want to take the dogs for a walk due to the heat.
Moe decided that he was going to slip the leash out of my hand and take himself for a walk. I was running after him at my top speed (which isn’t very fast) in flip flops. Not ideal.
He disappeared on me and I tried to cut through the mowed middle path of our field to head him off. He wasn’t there. Then I ran back and saw him way in the distance, but still on our property and on the path we have walked so many times.
By this point we were both tired, and he happily trotted along next to me while I held the leash. His tongue was out as far as it could go. He was proud of himself. After all, he just wanted to go for a walk. He was going to our normal walking spot, like a good boy.
I put him in his crate and had one minute to spare before my meeting. That was close. Moe promptly started snoring so loud. I had to move because he kept lighting up my square on Teams.
After work I started setting up the invisible fence flags. The storms interrupted me getting it all done. I got 3 sides before it became flooded in the way back of our yard. I was thankful we didn’t have the hail and downed trees like our surrounding areas had.
We have to be at the hospital at 7 am for Ethan’s kidney biopsy. Ethan is in good spirits about it. He was cooperative with the instructions and going to have it done. I am so grateful for this improvement. We don’t even have to drive to NYC! Yay!
I am going to bed early to mentally prepare for the exhaustion I will feel tomorrow afternoon when we get home.
