Paul and I traveled up to our little slice of heaven today. All 4 dogs and rabbit in our truck, plus our food and clothes. I worked, Jiminy supervised, and the rest of the animals slept. Moe and Penny buddied up and were looking out the window for a bit. They were guarding us and barking at the homeless people begging for money on the corner.
Ferguson was naughty today and biting Moe. At some point he is going to have his ass handed to him. What a chihuahua.
We arrive at camp mid morning. It was windy but the temperature was pleasant. After work, Moe was introduced to his new friend, Charlie. Charlie is a golden retriever and is bigger than Moe.
Moe seemed apprehensive. We did an activity with the two dogs and walked up the road. Charlie was being a goofball and hiding in the tall grass and then popping out. This peeked Moe’s curiosity. Moe continues to put his hackles up around Charlie, but this little game seemed to engage Moe. Moe finally ended up chasing Charlie.
I am not sure Moe knows how to play with other dogs. He didn’t really try to “play” with Charlie and was setting his boundaries with nips. But they coexisted well. We are going to keep working at it.
I took the dogs for multiple walks up the road. When we get to camp, if feels like time stands still a little bit. Paul mentioned that he likes going to camp because there aren’t a bunch of idiots around. He likes that it is secluded with a sense of community from our neighbors.
On todays episode of birdfeeder pleas respond you q
I am feeling pretty tired. Hopefully tomorrow will go quickly as I navigate the position.
Charlie had a wonderful time with Moe. He certainly wants Moe to play. They will be good buddies.
ReplyDeletePaul, it is a slice of heaven here. We love the community we have all built together.
Maybe Charlie can teach Moe how to play. Tomorrow they need a play date.
