7/14/24

All refreshed with a beautiful weekend at the lake. Now heading back to reality tomorrow. A long Monday of meetings. A week full of appointments.

Avery drove home for me because she is a great kid. I was able to get so much work done and prepare for the Monday run of meetings.

Ethan starts week two of his work/study job. Last week was a lot of math. We will see what this week holds for him.  He was given shirts to wear that make him look official.

We unloaded from our trip and I allowed Moe to walk around the house with a leash attached. Really I was making sure he didn’t mark anywhere. He has done that twice so far. I don’t want to give him the opportunity again.

Liam was over and Moe didn’t growl at him. Progress!

I got the flags to set up to start training Moe to invisible fence. Once I get the flags in the ground we can work on learning the boundaries. I think he will be a much happier dog being off leash. I am thankful he is good motivated.

I visited with my mom for a little bit this afternoon and played catch up with work while watching a movie tonight. It was a psychological thriller that was not that thrilling. The kids and I were making fun of the acting. It was made during the time (2009) when women in Hollywood would always leave their mouthes open.

We had a young kid ride his bike to our house and other houses in the neighborhood. He was collecting cans and asked if he could come back once a week. I did tell him he could come back. I asked him what he was saving up for and he said it was to help his parents because they were in debt. Poor kid.

Ethan befriended him because the kid said he noticed Ethan’s car event. Ethan was talking his ear off about cars and go karts etc. this kid lives around the corner and is in between 8-10 years old. I gave him a lot of credit introducing himself and chatting with us for so long.

I miss having a campfire. 🔥
