Today is Paul and my 26 th year wedding anniversary. I did a Google search on the number of couples that stay married for 25 years. 40% was the answer. That seemed high to me…but if it’s on the internet, it must be true.

I had an early morning interview to conduct, then I had a presentation to do virtually to tech students in a school in Texas. As I was getting ready to present, a technical issue happened and I was without ALL of my notes. CRAP!

I had a quick talk with myself….”Self! Looks like we are doing this on the fly…..Best of luck.” With that I started the presentation. Overall, I feel the hour long presentation went pretty well. I feel it was played off well that I had NO idea which slide was going to be next.

My co-worker (and friend) that was on the presentation with me. I called her immediately after it ended. I asked if she could tell I didn’t have my notes. She shared that she had no idea that I didn’t have my notes. So I considered it a huge win. I achieved a status of “excellent bullshitter”.

Ethan got home from work today and needed a voided check for work. He couldn’t find his checkbook. Kids don’t write checks.  I told him to get a direct deposit letter from the bank.

We ended up navigating that together as he wasn’t quite sure how to get one. I had him ask through chat. This is another step forward for Ethan. It sounds like something he should have been doing for years, but he has struggled with tasks like this. He did it pretty much on his own.

Moe had class tonight. I have not worked with him hardly at all in the past 2 weeks. We had our pre-test. It showcased our areas for improvement…which there were plenty.

Since we only have 3 dogs total in class, the dogs have learned to coexist well. They aren’t friends, but they tolerate each other. Little Pepper, the baby puppy has grown so much bigger. She is a wiggle butt. Her owners have been working SO hard. She does really well for a baby.

Bailey has a little 10 year old girl working hard with her mom to train Bailey. Bailey is not too thrilled with other dogs, but tolerates them in the same room. Moe minds his own business.

Tonight there was a dog that belonged to a lady helping with the class. This dog looked like a Pitt bull mix. He had a beautiful cinderblock head. Moe was very curious of this dog and really wanted to go sniff him. He rarely acts like that with other dogs.

I have to catch Moe up for his final test next week. He will be evaluated on several different tasks.

Paul came home after I got back from dog class and immediately had to join a meeting. By the time he finished, I was off to bed. “Happy Anniversary” I called over my shoulder on my way up to bed. We plan to celebrate this weekend 😊
