7/3/23

I woke up this morning and took the dogs outside. Things were still and quiet. The lake was glassy. I looked up and there was a Blue Heron standing on the break wall. He was a beauty. Such large birds with little stick legs. They are pretty majestic. He walked along the break wall gracefully. It was my gift for the day from Mother Nature.

Ethan joined us today. It was so exciting. I am hoping he has fun over his short visit.

This morning it rained. I couldn’t get a signal for my computer for work. Luckily I am off the rest of the week so it won’t be an issue.

We had rain in the morning and early afternoon, which led to more rock painting and antenna TV for the girls. The shows are horrible and we relentlessly make fun of the people on it. One show was a paternity test for a 26 year old who didn’t know who her father was.

After dinner, Ethan and I took the dogs for a walk. I was glad he came with me.

We had a pre-fireworks show as the neighbors were shooting theirs off too. I like when the fireworks go off, everyone cheers. The cheers echo off the shoreline.

Can’t wait for the big show tomorrow!

The skunk has moved on, thankfully.
