Today some of us went to the thrift store. Afterwards we went to Walmart. It was quite an experience. I was not impressed with one of the workers! When I asked him if he could tell me where the spray was, he responded “yes”. But then we just made eye contact as I waited for him to tell me. A few moments went by. “Can you PLEASE tell me?” He then whipped out his phone and looked it up. Then he says “it’s in aisle L 11. That is next to L10.” Really? Thanks. He laughed at his joke.
There was great people watching. Some lady was yelling obscenities at her young child. Some lady accusing a man of stealing her wallet. Some man walking around with his mouth agape catching flies. Lots of traffic in the parking lot, but no one watching where they are going.
We came back and had an epic corn hole tournament. Winners played winners, played winners. The weather was a little windy, but warm and sunny.
After dinner a few of us went swimming. At one point, Ethan and Avery were both in the water. For a moment, it felt like it did when the kids were little and would spend all day in the lake playing.
There was splashing, laughing, singing, joking all echoing off the lake. The land was happy that memories were being made.
At the fire we played scattergories until dark. Then out came the Karaoke machine. One after another, the girls took turns singing their songs and dancing. It got to be late and we turned off the machine to let people go to sleep in the neighborhood.

❤️❤️❤️such an amazing family trip. I love that you are all there enjoying each others company❤️❤️❤️
