Happy 4 th of July. It was sunny today. A great day to go out on the boat and paddle around. We anchored near a close by island. Ethan was even swimming around in a tube, the first time since summer of 2020. In fact, in 2020 I remember camping in our very same spot, speaking with Ethan’s cardiologist and him telling us that NYC was the best choice of hospital to go to and I was upset by that. Who knew what a blessing the NYC team would be. Here we are 3 years later.
We got to visit with some good friends this evening. Friends that we have camped with and out kids played with over the years. Our conversations have changed and now focused on college instead of keeping the kids continuously busy with swimming and water balloons.
Ethan fused together a bunch of fireworks. When I say a bunch, I mean a “crap ton” which I am pretty sure is a scientific measurement within the metric system.
The show was a bit over 8 minutes and was done far better than any processional fireworks artist could do. It was continuous, loud and flashy, and a variety of colors that danced across the sky. It was spectacular.
We sat on the boat while Ethan did his display. I really feel this was the best spot in the house to watch from. We had a view of the entire sky.
When the show was done, the entire shoreline was cheering! It was really a cool experience. I also think that Ethan had fun.
Happy 4 th!
