Avery called me this morning. She was upset because she was feeling the feelings of starting a full time real job. The lack of personal time, the feeling of regret when you have over committed. It really does take some getting used to. I find empathy is the best way to support her.

She also had a glitch in the pharmacy and has been off of her mental health medication for 5 days. When I went to pick it up for her today, our insurance doesn’t support our small town local business pharmacy. Boo! They dictate what pharmacy we can use. So I decided to pay out of pocket until we can get that situated. We will have to transfer her scripts and my scripts to the larger pharmacy in town.

I really LOVE our small town pharmacy. They do excellent work. They know your name when you walk in. They know your family tree. I know their voices on the phone. I know I have to accept this but I don’t have to like it.

Ethan went and got his bloodwork this morning. It’s so much nicer to get lab work now that they don’t have to enter in 4 pages of blood test line item by line item. It makes the wait much quicker.

We are still waiting on all the results to get back. Ethan does have an issue with his immune system and his kidney. He is not in rejection, but his immune system doesn’t like his new kidney so his body revolts. His body isn’t rejecting the kidney, it’s more like his immune system is attacking it. We need to make sure this isn’t getting worse.

If they increase his rejection medications, he will be at risk for developing some side effects that are not fun to navigate.

We will cross that bridge if we have to. Moves and countermoves.
