I wasn’t feeling the best today. That sucked a little. Nothing like Tylenol to get you through. I ended up taking a nap this afternoon to rest. That did help.

My phone decided to quit working so after work, I had to go to a Verizon store to deal with that. Luckily, I got a new SIM card and my phone became happy again.

Things like that really go to show you how dependent we become on our phones. Before I drove to get it fixed, I told Ethan that if he got a call from a random number, it was likely me, broken down. Luckily, that didn’t happen.

I was bummed that I didn’t feel so hot because I was supposed to meet up with some of the girls from my sorority.  I loaded up on Tylenol and made the drive to the meeting place. It was a SUNY Canton Alumni event.

Us ladies were the youngest ones attending. We had a room off to the side with snacks and we also got free drinks. I gave my free drink tokens away since I drove myself. It really was the responsible thing to do.

It was so fun to see the people I only get to see once in a blue moon. We bragged about our kids and reminisced about “the good ole days”. We shared stories about the different weddings we went to and the shenanigans we had.

I got home pretty late, like 10:30. Ha ha ha. Us girls were laughing because we “closed” the bar, just like we had in college. The difference was that it was 10:00 pm and in college we would be just starting to head out for the night.

It’s funny how life changes when you age. You have to just do things out of the routine, and the reward pays off.

I still haven’t heard from the rescue. I have accepted that we are not getting the pit-bull we wanted. That’s ok. It wasn’t the right time or the right dog. I may browse every now and again. We have a pretty solid crew. Life will steer us in the direction it is supposed to.
