We woke up early to make sure we got to the airport with plenty of time. I am not going to miss the hair pin turns with potholes and the panicked opposite side of the road AND opposite side of the car driving.
It took about an hour and a half to get to the airport. We went through TSA with no issue. We boarded the plane by walking outside and going up the steps of the rear of the plane.
Bye bye, beautiful turquoise water, blooming flowers and warm sunshine!
We landed in JFK without incident. It was grey. No turquoise waters. No sunshine.
We found that our flight to Rochester had been delayed for an hour. Ugh! We went through customs and then had to go through security again at JFK.
Each one of the guys had purchased spiced rum at the Duty Free store in St. Lucia. Each one of the guys had their carry on flagged due to the purchase. I was the only lucky girl that got felt up by the TSA agent. They had to touch my entire body looking for contraband. They found none.
We killed some time by eating. I logged into work because I hadn’t been able to access my email or do much on my computer for the majority of the trip.
We finally boarded our flight to Rochester. There were winds so the flight was a smidgeon bouncy until landing. As we were descending, we were bouncing all over. If felt like a fun carnival ride and I kind of enjoyed it more than I probably should have.
We landed safe. We collected bags and traveled home. What a long day. Jason and Heather still had an hour and a half to go. Seth and Janice had a three hour drive ahead of them.
Time for some rest!
