Today was relaxing. We got things done around the house but it wasn’t an over exertion by any means. We did a little and then rested, did a little and then rested.
We had dinner plans with 3 other couples this evening. I was really excited because I haven’t seen these people in a while.When the time came, we drove to the restaurant with 2 other couples. We ordered drinks and food. The men and women separated but the tables were close together. It was nice.
Afterward, we went back to one of the couples, house. They allowed us to spend time in their barn, which was warm, decorated and had a nice bar and sitting area. It is so nice to laugh and joke with them.
On the way to the barn, I enlisted help from everyone to hide ducks around EVERYWHERE! everyone was participating. As we got ready to leave, as I gazed around the room, I saw SO many ducks.
These ducks were just a symbol of our friendship. The ducks were there to let this couple know that we love them and we’re just having fun with them. We were thoughtful to make sure the grandchildren were not putting these in their mouth.
We had fun visiting the remainder of the evening. Then we drove home, close to midnight. Woah! I stayed up late tonight!
