Well Janice (the staff has named her that) pulled some shenanigans again this morning. She developed a clot in the line. After some investigation work from the intuitive nurse, his heparin dose was adjusted and Janice is back working away.
There is no noticeable difference from last night to this morning with how much fluid Ethan has in his body. It hasn’t been 24 hours yet and last night’s ordeal was a 3 hour hiatus.
Ethan seems to be resting comfortably with the aid of paralytics and sedatives. My goal today is to stretch everything and move it as well as make sure his bed sore has no pressure on it. I will let Janice do the rest!
I rang in the new year by looking at the inside of my eyelids. Party. Animal. One more major positive for 2020. One of my favorite actresses, Betty White, survived 2020. She is a brilliant woman.

Maybe there's a holiday half-price sale? I think that's only fair. :) Happy January First to you guys... and praying for Janice's ongoing dedication to her task which is to clean, machine.
