Ethan had another quiet night. No episodes. Phew! I had a more restful night. Some nurses are just quieter than others. Some nights are just quieter than others.
Today they are starting up oral feeds again. I questioned that because he is still paralyzed and I thought that could lead to another episode of ileus. I brought this up to the nurse and she said “good point”. So we will see what happens there. Maybe they will just do small amounts again.
Ethan had another 800 ml taken off overnight. He didn’t make any urine in his own yesterday so maybe they will back off on the fluid removal.
The sunrise was pretty this morning. I liked the colors, and the little sliver of the moon saying “hello”. We are going to keep kicking ass today.
It was a pretty moon this morning. We saw it too. We are praying for more positive baby steps forward. It is positive that more machines are going away. The x-ray looked better yesterday. Those things are going in the right direction. We love you both.
ReplyDeleteThis positive momentum is so thrilling. We are so happy and excited for you. The latest x-ray looks so much better!
ReplyDeleteLove those beautiful
ReplyDeleteSights!!!
Great way to start your day.
A lift for your spirits.
Let’s keep those steps in the
Positive direction
Each step keeps Ethan on
his path back home.
We pray for that shining
Day!!
It's lovely that you had a beautiful start to the day. Thanks for sharing the picture! Also very excited that his lung xrays look so much better. Cheering for you all from Rochester! I hope Ethan enjoyed the Bills win 😁
ReplyDeleteI loved that sliver moon yesterday.... it was too cloudy to see it this morning, but what a pretty sight. And, just in case all y'all don't know, this week sunset gets to FIVE O'CLOCK!!!!!! :) That's some pretty good news right there, right? And by the end of February... SIX O'CLOCK!!!! And then we flip the clock ahead and it's like almost immediately seven o'clock sunset. Tell Ethan the season of light is coming... almost upon us. And that the Bills nearly gave us all heart attacks, but we didn't want to steal Ethan's thunder so we brought it down a notch.
ReplyDeletePraying for all decisions made, Patti. I know you've been down this route multiple times now... We want a calm body, calm physical reactions, and for the body to remember how it used to work as a unit.... Clutch!
And good morning!
Beautiful pic Patti. I am so glad you are there to bring up intelligent points to the staff. You have a multitude of different medical people that are not there every day and the fact that you are advocating and reminding them of possible potholes is fabulous! Keep them all going in a straight line girlfriend! How about those Bills?!
ReplyDeletePrayers for you both
