1/7 8:25 am

I woke up with a startle this morning. I felt something on me and jolted awake. I just knew it was a mouse. I hate mice. I have an irrational fear that they are going to kill me. I woke up ready to kill the mouse. I know, I know....I love animals but not mice. They spread disease. Except it wasn’t a mouse, it was the X-ray lead gown. To keep my ovaries safe. Little do they know, those ovaries are long retired. I sat up. “Did I miss the  X-ray?” I asked. “No we haven’t taken it yet.” His nurse said.

Phew!  I walked my bed head out the door and waited in the hall. I was created by Ethan’s night time doctor and she said “he had such a wonderful night last night.”

I made her stop talking for a minute. “You have already made my day.” Wow! What a fantastic greeting. Everyone is on this kids side.

They were able to pull off 4 liters last night. FOUR! Holy crap! 2 large soda bottles. Wow! It had changed the way he looks. His left arm is still puffy and so is his trunk. There still enough edema that his belly button is still an outie.

Then after my day started off on such a great note, my RT buddy came in with a cappuccino and breakfast sandwich from Starbucks for me. I was speechless. I almost started to cry. How kind. Everyone has been so kind to us and we so much appreciate it.

I was also first to the shower today. This day was so much needed after the last few shitty days. I may have scared hell off for a day or two. I hope hell stays away.

My head space is so improved. Thank you everyone for thinking, praying and sprinkling our family with love. There are no words to describe how helpful and thankful we are.

  4. When YOU sprinkle seeds of kindness, they grow, bloom, and often come back to you OR go forward so that others get to feel what kindness is all about. Our world needs a lot of seeds of kindness right now. You have set an example for others to try and follow. I'm glad you got to experience the feeling that you give to others all of the time. I am also glad that Ethan has been taking those baby steps forward. Just watch out for those POT HOLES today!!
