Low Key Weekend

Friday night, Ethan had me join an app called discord.  He is using it to create a game called “Among Us”. I downloaded the apps needed. Avery, Jesney, my nephew Jason, Ethan’s friend Ryan, and a friend of a friend, Trevor, all played together. It was really fun.  We also discovered that I am not good at the game and after about 2 hours I quit.  It was fun to hear everyone's voices and laugh along with them.  I think we all had fun.

Saturday was a pleasant day.  Our pigeon friend came back for a visit. Mid afternoon Ethan and I went to the park for a walk.  It was really pretty. We had our N95, carbon filter masks on.  He had his milrinone back pack on. We enjoyed the sights and sounds of the park.  It was a nice day. It was a brisk day but not too cold and the sun was out.  

Today was spent in the apartment staying busy but not really doing much. We had the soft ambiance of fire trucks, barking dogs, lots of horns, a street argument a car alarm.  We also have a speed racer that as far as I can tell, he just drives around and revs his loud engine. It rattles the windows.

Ethan feels good. We have the infusion pump mastered.  We replace his medication bag every 2 days.  We change the batteries daily (note to self, create rechargeable batteries for this thing),  in the second lumen (port) of the picc line we have to flush it twice a day. We flush first with saline and then with a heparin solution.  We have to make sure everything stays as sterile as possible. He is still taking a baby aspirin once a day and a Lasix once a day. He tolerates all of it well.

Tonight we are following the severe thunderstorm alerts.  Apparently there is some rotation with the storm. Ethan is beyond excited. He thinks it would be cool, on the 5 th floor, to see a tornado. Secretly I do too. I hope the bird stays safe.
