Update

It’s been 13 hours since I have seen Ethan. I am hoping in the next hour they will let me see him. He is struggling a little bit getting regulated to all the new medications and machines he is on. He has a tough road ahead of him. He is a strong kid with things to accomplish.

I got to talk to the anesthesiologist about the moments that led up to Ethan going into cardiac arrest. He was very unstable and then arrested. Once they got a pulse back, he was responding to epinephrine but kept falling into dangerously low blood pressure. This ultimately led to them removing his heart and putting him on bypass so they could stabilize him to wait for the new heart to arrive.

I wanted to thank everyone for the outpouring of support. COVID has distanced everyone from Ethan except myself. I am alone physically but I am not feeling alone mentally. Thank you for your continued texts, words of encouragement and support to our family.

I will keep you posted. ❤️❤️❤️
