Ethan has had a better day today. They removed his pacer and he is maintaining his heart rate and rhythm  all on his own. He is still having little bits of delirium but not nearly as bad. He has begun to hallucinate. He sees something scary at the end of his bed. I told him I would kill it dead 100 times if it tries to hurt him. I meant it too. I will scissor kick whatever it is right in the gizzard. Can you imagine what the staff would think if they walked in on me scissor kicking a gizzard on something that isn’t even there?  I may end up on the same medication on the psych floor.

I can’t imagine what that must be like to have your brain playing tricks on you. You trust what you see, but no one else sees it? Are they playing tricks on you? It could be a real mind bender.

He also didn’t get  any extra doses of sedation because his agitation was much less.  He did have an extra dose of seraquel which helps with his delirium. It seems to help take the edge off.

He is getting “exercise” by moving his legs and trying to scoot his body off the bed. Determination is this kids core value. He keeps at it. He is going to get out of that bed one way or another, just “pushing through it”.

He has had a nice day of rest finally. I also took a nap today. I was just feeling so tired. I am sure everything is catching up to me. There was less beeping today which is good for my ears and mental health.

  5. Great, I can see Paul getting that call they had to put you in the psych ward🀦🏼‍♀️, lol. The visions I am having right now of you scissor kicking “air” to help Ethan get through that moment of delirium. Sounds like you had a nice peaceful day, nap and all. Take those naps when you can.
I wish I could be half as strong as you have been thus far through all of this❤️❤️. I hope you both have a quiet night.
