I forgot to share this the other day!  So funny.  Thanks for the laugh Gene.

Last night was glorious. I slept from like 9-6 and only woke up once. There is a nursing assistant that’s only job is to make sure Ethan stays put as well as doesn’t remove anything.  They switch off every hour. I didn’t realize how much I was worried that he would do something to harm himself so I couldn’t fully rest. So this situation is nice. Never thought I would need a babysitter for my almost 18 year old. Apparently he had a fairly decent night.

The lady sitting with him this morning is so nice. She is from Jamaica and I love to hear her talk. She was sharing information about Jamaica and her life and it was so interesting. 

Ethan is on the schedule for his biopsy and lung pressure test today.  This will give us more information on when his tube can come out which is going to be a HUGE step.

I had some shower drama this morning.  Someone was already in the shower when I went to get in this morning. Awe man. So I headed to the back up shower a few floors down (bed head and all). I am sure I was a glorious sight.

I went into the bathroom with the shower. No shower curtain. Oh well. I am just going to shower anyway. What a damn mess. Who new how much a shower curtain helped. When I was done in the shower and trying to find a place to stand that I wasn’t going to get my clothes when to put them on, I realized the shower wasn’t draining. Are you kidding me right now? Standing water in the bathroom.  Now the trick will be to get out without anyone knowing it was me. Ha!

I packed up all my belongings and tip toed out. There were like 3 people right outside the door and they all looked at me. “Good morning!”  I walked away quickly. My shoes then squeaked with ever damn step I took. So loud. It was reverberating on the walls.  It probably wasn’t and I am being dramatic but I just new I was going to get yelled at for being on the wrong floor and showering when clearly there was no curtain. 

Luckily I didn’t get yelled at but my anxiety got the best of me.  The good news is that I did have a pretty good shower AND it was clean. I will chalk this up to a win.

Physical Therapy is scheduled to come by this morning. Ethan is zonked so that should be interesting.

This kids belly is so hard and distended. Hopefully things get moving today on that end.

I am going to talk to Ethan’s Make a Wish Angel today.  Ethan was very hesitant about Make a Wish. I told him that this was his constellation prize for being dealt such a shitty hand of cards. He has put a lot of thought into his gift and ultimately decided he wanted equipment to grow his YouTube channel and help with filming within the car industry. He also has had people reaching out to have him make videos of their cars. He totally LOVES it.

Hoping for more progress and no rejection today.
